Citizens Bank to Open Truckee Branch Soon
Nevada City, California, August 24, 2006. Citizens Bancorp (the “Company”) (OTCBB: CZNB), the holding company of Citizens Bank of Northern California (the “Bank”), announced that the Bank’s Truckee Branch will open in early September 2006. The new branch will be located at 12047 Donner Pass Road in Truckee.
Local resident and banker, Paul Kucharski, will lead the branch team as Vice President and Branch Manager. Paul stated, “It’s very exciting for me to represent a true community bank, especially one with such an established record of commitment to every neighborhood it serves.”
President & CEO Judy Hess stated, “At Citizens Bank we define community banking as our commitment to doing what is right for our customers and the communities we serve.” She added, “The Bank reinvests the dollars our customers deposit back into local businesses, local real estate, local nonprofit organizations and community projects of virtually every description. For eleven years Citizens Bank has been working to improve the quality of life in Western Nevada County and we are very pleased to now be able to bring our signature brand of community banking – the “Citizens Bank Way” – to our neighbors in Truckee.”
Founded in February 1995, Citizens Bank, headquartered in Nevada City, became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company in 2003. The Bank currently has five branches in Nevada County, one in Nevada City, two in Grass Valley, one in Penn Valley and one in Lake of the Pines. Today the Bank offers community banking services in the Nevada County market, including a wide variety of deposit products, commercial, residential and consumer loans, and other traditional banking products and services designed to meet the needs of small and middle market businesses and individuals. The Bank will be opening a branch in Auburn this fall.
